Loadit App (Proprietary) Limited (collectively “Loadit”, “us” or “our”) are committed to protecting your privacy. This privacy policy is provided to you to help you make an informed decision about whether to use or continue using the Loadit website and Loadit's social media pages.

Other information we collect when you interact with our services includes interaction dates and times, web pages viewed, system crashes and other system activity. In some cases, we collect this and other information through cookies, pixel tags, and similar technologies that create and maintain unique identifiers. Please note that if you refuse to accept cookies from Loadit you might not be able to access portions of our services.

By accessing Loadit's website or social media pages, you consent to Loadit processing your personal information (as those terms are defined in the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013, as amended – "POPIA") for the purposes of understanding your engagement with our website and social media pages and your creation of a profile on our website.

Our website may be hosted on web-based servers which may be located outside of South Africa. In such event, we will ensure that your personal information is hosted only in countries that offer similar protections to that offered by POPIA.

Our website and/or social media pages may further process your personal information provided to determine your preferences. We reference this data to ascertain whether we are meeting our customers' needs and to this end will aggregate the information and de-identify it to pinpoint trends.

You may decline to submit your personal information to Loadit as required by our Terms of Use, in which case Loadit will not be able to render services to you. Your continued use of any of Loadit’s platforms will signify your acceptance of our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use. Loadit collects the details provided by you on registration together with the information we learn about you from your transactions. Additional information can be collected through information you provide when giving us feedback, completing forms, using promotional codes or registering complaints or issues.

The personal information you provide would ordinarily include your name, phone number, email address, login name and password, billing/banking information, addresses and any special instructions (if applicable) when you choose to engage the services provided by Loadit. Loadit will also collect information from your computer, phone, tablet or other device you are using to access our services. This includes the IP address, the browser you use, and your language settings. Depending on the services that you use, and your device settings or permissions, Loadit may collect your precise or approximate location information as determined through data such as your mobile network, GPS, IP address and WiFi.

We receive transaction details when you use our services, including the type of services you ordered, delivery details, date and time the service is provided, the amounts charged, the distances travelled, and your method of payment.

There are third parties which can receive some of your personal information. These would be third parties that we engage directly or that function separately in order to provide you with the Loadit services. This would usually include financial institutions, payment service providers, advertisers, location maps/services, insurance providers, affiliates and subsidiaries of Loadit. We do not sell, rent nor share your data without your consent, or without a feature allowing you an opt-in or opt-out.

We will release your personal information if required to do so by law.

We take all reasonable steps to ensure that your personal information is relevant to its intended use, is accurate, and complete. You have the right to ask us to provide you with all the personal information we have about you and to correct any personal information that is inaccurate or incomplete. Additionally, you can request that we delete all personal information that you have about you, subject to our Terms of Use in respect of any services rendered by us to you. Loadit uses reasonable organisational and technical safeguards to preserve the integrity and security of your data. Only authorised personnel are permitted to access your data, and this is done in the course of their work. By using the Loadit website or engaging with Loadit via social media platforms, you consent to the processing by Loadit of your personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013, as amended ("POPIA"). Using unsecured wifi or other unprotected networks to submit messages is not recommended, as this will compromise your security.

We will retain your data for as long as we deem it necessary to enable you to use our services, to provide our services to you, to comply with applicable laws, resolve disputes with any parties and otherwise as necessary to allow us to conduct our business, including to detect and prevent fraud or other illegal activities. All the data we retain will be subject to POPIA. If you have a question about a specific retention period for certain types of data that we keep or process about you, please contact us via our contact details.

Please be aware that we cannot guarantee that your information will not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed by breach of any of our reasonable technical and organisational measures. If we learn of such a breach, we will notify you and the Information Regulator as required by POPIA so that you can take appropriate protective steps.
