Frequently Asked Questions

You can get a free quote very quickly by clicking on BOOK NOW. If you know you are going to book a job, it is best to sign in or sign up before getting started but you can also do this during the job booking process itself.

  1. Choose a vehicle size - see below for help on choosing the right vehicle
  2. Add pick-up & up to 26 delivery stops
  3. Pick extras like helpers, open/closed vehicle, etc.
  4. The final price for the job will be displayed on the "Job quote" page. This is the price you will pay. No surprises unless you choose to change the job details at a later stage.

Your all-inclusive quote will be shown before confirming — no hidden fees.

For repeat jobs, copy a previous one in your profile, tweak it, and book it in seconds.

You can get a free quote in minutes on the BOOK JOB section of the system, by clicking BOOK NOW. (See the “How do I get a quote…” section above.)

Please note that the price quoted covers up to one full load. There may be an additional charge if the amount of goods picked up over all the locations is deemed to be more than what can fit in one load on your chosen vehicle size.

Rates are based on:

  • Vehicle size
  • Distance
  • Number of stops
  • Extras (e.g. helpers, shuttles, closed body, etc.)

Discounts on the base cost will be applied based on booking volume (i.e. volume discounts – speak to your friendly Loadit sales representative) and time:

  • Weekdays (Mon–Fri, 07:30–15:30)
  • Off-peak dates (3rd–25th of each month)

Please Note:

If all your items do not fit on the selected vehicle, a second load with the same driver can be arranged. All subsequent loads will be charged at a 10% discount.

Depending on the loading and offloading methods to be used and labour available, please book the appropriate number of helpers with each vehicle.

    • Note: These vehicles can range in load capacity between 3 and 4 tons, depending on the specific truck allocated. Unless a CLOSED body type is explicitly chosen, Loadit reserves the right to send a 1.5 Ton Bakkie with a trailer which has at least the same carrying capacity as a 3 Ton Truck.

We have both open and closed vehicles available in our 8 ton trucks, 12M Trailer as well as Interlinks. If you must have one or the other, please select the required BODY TYPE on the "Discounts & extras" page. For open vehicles in the 12M Trailer and Interlink options, we recommend 1 Helper to assist with securing and tarping the load.

Ancillary equipment:

All Loadit vehicles are equipped with blankets, ropes and (if open) a weatherproof tarpaulin.

Your driver helps with loading and offloading. Need more hands? Add “ Additional helpers” during booking on the “Discounts & extras” page.

Book our shuttle service on the “Discounts & extras” page to take care of large vehicle restrictions at certain addresses. You can still order a larger vehicle (3 Ton Truck) that will stay outside and order a shuttle vehicle (1.5 Ton Bakkie) that will come in and ferry all your goods to or from the larger vehicle. Problem solved! (Please remember to order two shuttles if this is required on both pickup and delivery.)

Yes, up to 26 locations per job. After telling us where the first upliftment is, you can then choose the other locations from where we can either uplift or deliver your goods (or a bit of both). Just note: extra loads beyond your vehicle’s capacity may incur additional charges.

Compensation is available if explicitly arranged in advance or specified per job. Contact our helpline to discuss and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

  • Account facilities: Available for high-volume users. Please call our helpline to discuss your specific requirements and they will refer you to the appropriate Sales Representative.
  • Cash: Accepted by drivers (no EFT options are available). You can pay the driver at any stage during the job, but payment must be made before the driver departs from his final delivery point please.
  • Card: Visa/Mastercard. Securely processed by DPO Paygate.

Card Payments:

When creating a job you will be given the option to add a card. Follow the wizard to load the card you wish to use and then select it as your payment method for that job. (You can also manage your cards in the Cards section of the menu at any time.)

We will authorise (but not process) an amount of R1.00 when a new card is loaded on the system to ensure the card is valid. The full payment for the job will only be processed on the day of the job once the driver has arrived, inspected the load and started the job.

Helpful Hint:

Loadit does NOT store your card details as this has been outsourced to DPO Paygate. Paygate is used by over 10 million card holders and is compliant with world class fraud management solutions.

The Driver’s name & number are available in your job summary ±1 hour before pickup. Need it sooner? Please contact Loadit by email or phone.

  • Sign in and go to the hamburger menu (top right, next to your name) and choose "Jobs.”
  • In the Jobs grid click on the job you want to copy, cancel or edit, then go to the bottom of the job detail and select the appropriate button.
  • Make any changes you need to and then click on “BOOK JOB” on the last page.

Note: If a driver has already been assigned to this job (approx. 75 mins before the requested arrival time), you will not be able to edit the job, but will be able to cancel. If the driver is already on their way, cancellation fees will apply.)

Loadit offers deliveries where the one-way total distance is less than 250 kms to or from the more populated areas of Greater Johannesburg, Pretoria or Cape Town.

In addition to the local services, Loadit offers long distance transport between Gauteng and Cape Town. For more information and rates, please contact our helpline who will refer you to the appropriate Sales Representative.

  • Account customers receive VAT invoices from Loadit.
  • All other customers: Download your job invoice under the Jobs tab once completed. Simply select the completed job on the grid for which you want an invoice and then click the "download invoice" link. These are issued by the driver (as small, micro enterprises, our drivers are not VAT vendors so the amounts reflecting on the invoice do not include VAT.) By default, the invoice is issued to the name of the user who booked the job. Feel free to update the name of the user, under the Profile menu, if you need the invoice issued to someone else or a company.)

Yes you can! But this functionality - we call Preferred Drivers - is reserved for our regular customers only.

Once you have qualified by doing enough jobs over a period of time, we will notify you via email and a new DRIVERS menu item will be available to you. All you now need to do is select which of your previous drivers you would like to see again. It's that simple.

Helpful Hint:

In the unlikely event that we can't allocate your job to one of your preferred drivers, we will send another friendly Loadit driver to do the job. To increase your chances of getting a preferred driver, please give us as much lead time as you can and add as many preferred drivers to your list as possible.

Yes! Add contact names, numbers, reference numbers & notes per stop. You can also choose to keep contacts updated via SMS.

Simply click the "Add more details" link on either the "Additional info" page during the booking process or on the Job Summary page at the end.

There's also an option to "Keep this Contact updated with timely delivery notifications via SMS?". If you select this option for a contact, Loadit will keep the contact updated via SMS throughout the delivery process.

Helpful Hint:

The reference number on each delivery address could be an invoice, quote or any other customer-specific number that will help you reconcile all the orders that were delivered in that job.

  • Click and hold on this highlighted URL, then drag to your desktop

Shortcut on your mobile (Android):

  • Launch Chrome for Android and open the web page https://loadit.africa
  • Tap the menu button and tap "Add to homescreen". You’ll be able to enter a name for the shortcut and then Chrome will add it to your home screen.

Shortcut on your mobile (iOS):

  • Launch a browser on Apple’s iOS and navigate to https://loadit.africa
  • Tap the "Share" button on the browser’s toolbar — that’s the rectangle with an arrow pointing upward. It’s on the bar at the top of the screen on an iPad, and on the bar at the bottom of the screen on an iPhone or iPod Touch
  • Tap the "Add to Home Screen" icon in the "Share" menu
